EXTREME ULTRA CYCLING RACE AROUND KARNATAKA
A Race Across America Qualification race

First up, RAKA is an Ultracycling race designed to shatter your limits, your physical endurance, your mental strength, your planning, your emotions, basically questioning what are you made of?

It is an unique event designed by Team Srini, happening for the first time and planned to be a modular annual Ultracycling event in the coming years.

RAKA covers 2,240 kms involving the entire state of Karnataka. Karnataka is the 7th largest state of India bordered by 4 Southern Indian States and Arabian sea to the west. The race route traverses through 16 districts of the state with varying terrain passing through forest reserves, agricultural lands, river crossings, pristine coastal areas and dense rain forests of western ghats. This route allows you to experience the diverse landscapes and the rich cultures across Karnataka.

The race is divided into 20-time stations that span the entire route. The race is open for Solo riders, 2 member and 4 member teams in a supported format. There are no designated rest periods for food and sleep. The clock runs from the start to finish as if in a time trial, and the final overall finish including the rest periods has to be completed in 132 hours (for Solo racer) to be considered as a successful finisher and to qualify for the world's toughest Bicycle race- Race Across America.

RAKA is unique, as it is the longest RAAM qualification race in India conceived by the Indias first Solo RAAM finisher, Srinivas Gokulnath.
